Decorated Horseshoes

Fen Ridge Farm decorated horseshoes are created right here on the farm. It is very much a family effort. Most of the flowers are grown or harvested from our own fields and woods then dried and arranged in our rustic, beamed workshop. All hands help out where they can, either preparing the horseshoe, boxing or packing.

The art of growing and arranging dried flowers has been a strong interest of mine for over 25 years. I grow a large percentage of the materials I use ensuring quality, freshness and true color retention. I have a background in art, both historical and applied which serves me well in the theme and use of color in the horseshoe designs. The balance of texture, shade and the materials themselves is essential for each horseshoe to be pleasing to the eye as well as the soul.
